October 2014, Issue # 2

IN this second issue of our monthly newsletter we provide a summary of achievements, a recap of posts published during the month along with our focus for the month ahead including important milestones.

October achievements

In October, we focused on highlighting a selection of financial metrics and key performance indicators (KPI’s) for UK registered companies to demonstrate our strengths in processing big data and visualising the results using graphs and KPI scorecards.  In addition, we made significant progress in the development of our DataManager visualization tool.

Financial metrics and KPI’s

The base measures for the UK company financial metrics and KPI’s were extracted from over 2 million annual accounts filings for 2013 and 2014.  Out of 620 data points we selected 4 that were present in the majority of annual account filings: cash and bank balances; net current assets; profit and loss reserves and shareholder funds or net assets.

Business Intelligence Tools

DataManager, our Business Intelligence tool, is now in the final stages of development.  The Standard version allows Clients to analyse and visualize company data, director and officer appointments and financial accounting metrics.

FinanceManager, is the name of our second BI tool which is also in the final stages of development.  FinanceManager comes with additional functionality that allows Clients to review, customise and add value analysis ratios for liquidity, gross margin and return on capital.

Consultancy

We  are now in a position to offer a Consultancy Service to our Clients.  Details of this bespoke service can be reviewed here.
